How to use
- Open a photo. It is drawn on a canvas in this tab.
- Drag a rectangle over each face, plate, or screen you need hidden.
- Click Run. The box is pixelated, not deleted.
- Download the JPG and check it at full size before you post it.
Blur is a paint job, not a deletion. Someone who knows the person may still recognize a jacket or a doorway. If the photo should not exist in public, do not publish a blurred version and hope.
The file is not uploaded. That is the same rule as the EXIF page. The difference is the problem: EXIF is hidden text, a face is the picture. Do both when a photo has a person and a location tag.
Draw the box larger than the face. A tight box leaves ears and a hairline. A plate needs the whole bumper area if the angle shows more than the numbers.
This will not track a moving face in a video. It is one still image. For a video, export a frame or use an editor.
Worked check. Blur your own face, download, and zoom. If you can still read an eye, the box was small or you need a second pass.
FAQ
Is the photo uploaded?
No.
Does blur remove metadata?
The download is a new JPEG, so typical EXIF is gone too. Still run the EXIF page if you need to check.
Can I undo a box?
Reload the photo and draw again. There is no cloud copy to revert to.
Is pixelation the same as a black bar?
No. A black bar hides more. Pixelation can fail if the block size is small.
Do I need an account?
No.
